 Crystal Lake Tea Party
Welcome
The Crystal Lake, IL Tea Party first rallied on Tax Day 2009, then again on Independence Day. By Tax Day 2010 the Crystal Lake Tea Party had grown into a formidable force as attendees passionately gathered along route 14.

This show of unity was echoed across the country with thousands of Tea Parties popping up in every state.

The Tea Party started as a reaction to government over reach; attempting to sell us on spending our way out of debt. As law abiding, tax-paying citizens, we know better. "We the People" cried out in unison to STOP! After the outrageous trillion dollar debt spending and taking over of U.S. car companies we were being forced to accept a government take over of the best health care system in the world. Rallies were held across the country, constituents demanded their Congressmen and Senators hold Town Hall meetings so they could air their grievances and to once again say "STOP!"

"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

Deep in our souls we understood we were witnessing the overreach of government, legislating against the will of the people and outside the bounds of the Constitution.

The Crystal Lake Tea Party will pass along information to its participants regarding  local, state and federal actions that may infringe on the blessings of liberty endowed by our Creator and secured by our military. The information will come with a way to become engaged in the issue at hand.

We will support both citizens and legislators that embrace the 28 principles of Freedom our Founding Fathers said must be understood and perpetuated for people who desire peace, prosperity and freedom.

"And having looked to Government for bread, on the very first scarcity they will turn and bite the hand that fed them. "
